Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (gravel, asphalt, demolition debris) between job sites
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all materials transported
- Adapt routes based on weather conditions and project schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate material unloading and equipment positioning
- Perform basic preventative maintenance checks including fluid levels and tire pressure
- Uphold strict safety protocols while operating in high-traffic urban environments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy equipment
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 5 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of Kansas DOT regulations and construction site safety standards
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery schedules
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting capabilities for on-site repairs
- Pass federal background check and pre-employment drug screening
