Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your DOT-compliant box truck for local/regional freight delivery
- Adhere to strict delivery timelines and maintain accurate route documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance records
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and load assignments
- Ensure compliance with all federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability and cargo coverage)
- Reliable DOT-compliant box truck (2005 or newer, under 26,000 GVWR)
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Smartphone with reliable internet connectivity for dispatch communication
