Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials to construction sites and job locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Load/unload materials using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for all shipments
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and scheduling
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach area roadways and construction zones
- Physical ability to climb in/out of equipment and handle heavy materials
- DOT compliant medical card and required certifications
- Excellent time management and communication skills
