Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across New York metropolitan area
- Adhere to DOT regulations and strict safety protocols during all transit operations
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while minimizing fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to obtain NYC commercial driving authorization
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route navigation apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
