Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages and goods to residential and commercial locations across Oakland
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service with professional communication and problem-solving
- Load/unload packages securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Adhere to company policies regarding package handling, vehicle operation, and customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience with delivery background preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery tracking systems
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor with customers
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Reliable transportation to/from designated depot for shift start/end
