Responsibilities
- Efficiently deliver packages and goods to residential and commercial addresses within designated routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for high-value shipments
- Safely operate company vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and minimize fuel consumption
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve delivery issues
- Collaborate with dispatch team to adjust routes based on real-time traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations within 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of delivery or professional driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly and navigate stairs/deliveries
- Strong time-management skills and punctuality for scheduled deliveries
- Proficient with smartphone apps and basic GPS navigation systems
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays with possible weekday coverage
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by company policy
- Basic knowledge of Oakland area geography or willingness to learn quickly
