Responsibilities
- Operate a delivery vehicle in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured and protected during transit.
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses with accuracy and care.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting politely with clients and handling delivery exceptions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines during the busy weekend rush.
- Utilize handheld devices for route optimization and proof of delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong navigational skills and the ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Physical stamina to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for logging delivery information.
