Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles in and around Virginia Beach and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secure and protected from damage.
- Verify delivery details and obtain signatures from recipients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (tire pressure, fluid levels) before routes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and route planning software.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
