Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and DOT standards.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure strapping.
- Interact professionally with customers, handle merchandise returns, and resolve delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including mileage records and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for logbook entry and communication.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable access to a personal vehicle for transportation to the terminal.
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
