Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles following traffic regulations and company safety protocols
- Load, secure, and unload packages with precision and care
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency and timeliness
- Communicate delivery status and delays promptly to dispatch
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficient using GPS navigation systems
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
