Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and stakeholders.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and practice defensive driving techniques at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3 years).
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle issues.
