Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations within the Columbus area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts, ensuring items are secured properly.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices to ensure accuracy and complete necessary paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients at every stop.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to the fleet manager promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and delivery area.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- A valid Driver's License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform routine vehicle checks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to undergo paid training to learn commercial driving standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
