What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues on the spot.
- Utilize handheld devices for route navigation, tracking, and digital proof of delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to work flexible night shifts (typically 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of the Chicago metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries and using navigation apps.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
