Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Delivery: Transport packages and documents to residential and business addresses in the Washington DC area in a timely and professional manner.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients with a friendly demeanor, ensuring complete satisfaction with every delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Route Navigation: Utilize GPS and mapping applications to plan the most efficient routes while adhering to traffic laws.
- Documentation: Accurately handle paperwork, including invoices and delivery confirmations.
- Brand Representation: Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company safety and operational standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A current, valid Driver's License (Class C) is mandatory.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs in the past 3 years.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old to qualify for commercial insurance.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for navigation and delivery apps.
- Local Knowledge: A strong familiarity with the streets, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns of Washington DC is highly preferred.
