Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages within Jacksonville metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for all shipments
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve inquiries
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while adhering to traffic regulations
- Assist with loading/unloading packages and maintain organized cargo areas
- Collaborate with dispatch team to update delivery status and address route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and basic smartphone applications
- Excellent communication skills and professional customer demeanor
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
