Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Driving: Operate delivery vehicles in a safe, timely, and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, handling complaints or special requests with a smile.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load Management: Secure cargo, verify delivery documents, and manage loading/unloading tasks efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, receipts, and delivery records as required by company policy and local regulations.
- Route Optimization: Navigate using GPS and mapping tools to follow planned delivery routes and adhere to schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Experience: Prior experience in delivery or logistics is preferred but not required; we provide training for the right candidates.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and walk moderate distances.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and write in English.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using handheld devices for navigation and logging deliveries.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, professional, and committed to safety standards.
