Responsibilities
- Safe and Efficient Delivery: Load, unload, and deliver packages to residential and commercial locations in the Raleigh area following the most efficient routes.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and handling packages with care.
- Documentation: Verify the contents of all deliveries against the manifest and obtain proper signatures upon completion.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Problem Solving: Handle delivery exceptions, such as wrong addresses or missed deliveries, with a positive and proactive attitude.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no DUIs or serious traffic violations).
- Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Vehicle: Reliable access to a personal vehicle (or willingness to use company vehicle).
- Skills: Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries and excellent navigation skills.
