Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Cargo: Safely handle packages and freight using appropriate equipment to ensure items arrive undamaged.
- Route Management: Follow assigned delivery routes efficiently to meet strict time windows and customer expectations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver professional, courteous service to clients, handling inquiries and exceptions with a positive attitude.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, bills of lading, and mileage reports.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid Class B CDL is preferred; Class B with a clean driving record is required.
- Driving Record: Must possess a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to read maps and GPS systems effectively.
- Professionalism: Must be punctual, organized, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
