Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and cargo to designated addresses in New Orleans, LA, and surrounding Florida areas.
- Load and unload merchandise from delivery vehicles using dollies, hand trucks, and manual lifting.
- Ensure the accuracy of orders by checking delivery manifests against the products delivered.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other drivers.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues efficiently.
- Utilize handheld devices to update delivery status and manage route changes in real-time.
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license (Class C or higher) with a clean driving record (no major infractions in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic smartphone proficiency for logging deliveries.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
