Responsibilities
- Safe & Timely Delivery: Transport packages to residential and commercial addresses efficiently and safely, ensuring all items arrive in perfect condition.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions regarding their deliveries, and handle documentation accurately.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues immediately to maintain a safe operating environment.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and meet daily productivity goals.
- Package Handling: Safely load, unload, and organize packages in the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling of fragile items.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and delivery times for payroll and operational purposes.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid Class C Driver’s License is required.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs within the past 3 years.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
- Technology Proficiency: Basic comfort with using handheld devices or tablets for navigation and delivery updates.
