Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods to designated delivery locations in the Chicago metropolitan area.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
- Interact professionally and politely with customers, including checking delivery signatures and handling returns.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, including the loading and unloading of cargo.
- Utilize mobile technology for route optimization, navigation, and real-time status updates.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Reliable smartphone with data connectivity is required for GPS and app-based tasks.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Basic English language proficiency for communication purposes.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and diverse neighborhoods.
