Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to ensure timely and accurate package delivery to residential and commercial clients.
- Load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks using appropriate equipment (dollies, hand trucks) to ensure cargo security.
- Verify and record delivery details, including signatures, damaged goods, or service exceptions.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers at every stop, resolving any issues with a positive attitude.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and DOT regulations.
- Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS technology (e.g., Google Maps, OnBoard).
- Basic English reading and verbal communication skills to understand delivery instructions and interact with customers.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (rain, heat, snow) as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Reliable smartphone for access to delivery apps and communication.
