Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport cargo to designated customer locations within Long Beach and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of all packages.
- Manage and complete all necessary delivery paperwork, including delivery receipts and electronic logs, accurately and on time.
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor during deliveries.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operating vehicle controls comfortably.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy for logging delivery information.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Long Beach, CA.
