Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring packages are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain electronic or physical signatures for receipt of goods.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Utilize handheld devices for route planning and inventory tracking.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class B Commercial Driver's License preferred, but Class B with clean record considered).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on satisfaction and safety.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory verification.
- Reliable transportation to and from the depot.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
