Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages and food orders to residential and commercial addresses within Chicago city limits
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for high-value shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and customer inquiries
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods and major roadways
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic technology
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication skills and professional appearance
- Pass background check and drug screening
