Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods to designated delivery locations within the Long Beach area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, verifying delivery details and obtaining signatures when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Utilize handheld devices for GPS navigation and electronic proof of delivery (ePod) recording.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile applications for navigation and delivery tracking.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
