Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle on assigned routes throughout Richmond and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures where required.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues courteously.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Accurately complete daily logs and delivery paperwork.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 5 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and maps.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform pre-trip inspections.
