What You Will Do
As a Delivery Driver at MetroConnect, you will be the face of our company. Your primary goal is to ensure our customers receive their packages safely and on time. You will operate a company vehicle, manage delivery documentation, and provide top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to residential and commercial addresses.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring all items are handled with care and accounted for.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior at all times.
- Utilize handheld delivery devices to track routes and update delivery status in real-time.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to clients during every stop.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for map reading and documentation.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adhere to a scheduled route.
