Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Delivery: Transport packages to residential and commercial addresses in a timely and accurate manner, strictly following designated routes.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers, ensuring a positive unboxing experience and handling any delivery concerns with courtesy.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is clean, safe, and operational.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and electronic paperwork required for route management.
- Problem Solving: Handle package exceptions and redirect deliveries efficiently when addresses are unclear or locations are difficult to access.
- Equipment Handling: Safely load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle using proper lifting techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations within the last 3 years).
- Access to Vehicle: Must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for commercial delivery (or be willing to use a company vehicle).
- GPS Proficiency: Comfortable using smartphone GPS applications (Google Maps, Waze) for route navigation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with dispatch and customers.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and walk various terrains.
- Reliability: Punctual, professional, and dedicated to meeting delivery deadlines.
