Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans or box trucks) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages to customers.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain electronic or digital signatures for receipt.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions professionally and resolving delivery issues on-site.
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage time effectively to meet daily route targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or Class C with Air Brakes (depending on vehicle type).
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50-100 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong knowledge of the Boston, MA area and familiarity with North Carolina routes is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for digital logging and navigation.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
