As a Delivery Driver with UrbanExpress, you will be the face of our company, ensuring our customers receive their packages safely and on time. We pride ourselves on a culture of safety, integrity, and community.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver packages and freight to designated locations on time.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing items to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery contents against delivery slips and obtain necessary signatures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies strictly.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (Class A preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of GPS navigation systems and route planning.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
