Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to residential and commercial addresses in the Greater Boston area.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure the safety of the driver and public.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, including handling door tags and signatures as required.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness and mechanical safety before and after routes.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage, ensuring accurate delivery of items.
- Utilize handheld devices for GPS navigation and digital proof of delivery (POD).
- Manage time effectively to meet strict delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- A valid Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate unfamiliar areas using GPS.
- Basic proficiency with smartphone technology and delivery apps.
