Responsibilities
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
- Verify recipient identity and obtain electronic or handwritten signatures upon delivery.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or damages immediately.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Process delivery paperwork and route logs accurately using handheld devices.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations).
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable smartphone with data access for navigation and app-based tasks.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate local Indianapolis streets.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks is a plus.
