Responsibilities
- Safe and Timely Deliveries: Navigate efficiently to residential and commercial addresses, ensuring packages are delivered in perfect condition.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, handle cash/card transactions accurately, and maintain a friendly demeanor.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report any mechanical issues immediately, and keep the vehicle clean and organized.
- Load Management: Safely load and unload packages, ensuring proper placement and securing loads to prevent damage during transit.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations at all times.
- Documentation: Complete delivery logs, receipts, and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Experience: Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or courier services is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using handheld scanning devices and mobile apps for navigation and delivery updates.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time or part-time shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
