Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on designated delivery routes within the Portland metro area.
- Load and unload freight using proper safety equipment, dollies, and manual techniques.
- Verify and inspect cargo for damage, discrepancies, and proper placement.
- Maintain accurate DOT logs, daily logs (ELD/DVIR), and vehicle inspection reports.
- Provide excellent customer service during drop-offs and pickups, ensuring signatures and confirmations are obtained.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and state regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Current, valid DOT Medical Card.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management and navigation skills to ensure on-time delivery.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive movements.
