Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages, food, and medical supplies to designated locations using GPS navigation
- Manage delivery schedules with precision to maintain 95% on-time performance
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain detailed delivery logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during point-of-contact interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions proactively
- Adhere strictly to Boston traffic regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management and warehouse duties during off-peak hours
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Class D driver's license with clean 3-year record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and operate in all weather conditions
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic delivery technology
- Strong knowledge of Boston's layout including Back Bay, South End, and Downtown
- Flexible availability including weekend and holiday shifts
- Background check and DOT medical certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent
