Responsibilities
- Deliver Packages: Transport packages to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring the condition of the goods is maintained.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a polite, courteous, and professional manner, handling package handling with care.
- Route Management: Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption while ensuring all stops are completed.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine safety checks on the vehicle and ensure it is kept clean and organized.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and mileage reports for each shift.
- Problem Solving: Address delivery issues on the spot, such as incorrect addresses or customer disputes, and escalate complex issues to management.
- Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Texas Class C driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Smartphone: A reliable smartphone capable of using our delivery app.
- Vehicle: Access to a reliable vehicle (sedan, SUV, or cargo van) with valid insurance and registration.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and write in English.
- Residency: Must reside within or near the Austin metropolitan area.
