Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and adhere to all traffic regulations
- Load/unload packages efficiently while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology for maximum efficiency
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Handle cash transactions and maintain delivery documentation
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and customers
- Adhere to safety protocols for hazardous materials handling (when applicable)
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class A or B) or clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
