Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailer trucks safely and efficiently across long distances.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to DOT Hours of Service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR (Over The Road) driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of interstate traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional attitude and a commitment to customer service excellence.
