Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers safely on dedicated regional routes serving Baton Rouge and surrounding areas
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining flexible start/end times
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route adjustments
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience with dedicated routes preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Physical ability to handle freight and perform manual tasks up to 70 lbs
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Excellent communication skills and time management abilities
