Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across the continental US
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while maintaining delivery schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance reports
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with verifiable references
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with ELD systems
- Ability to handle multi-day trips with 2-3 weeks out per month
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident
