Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness/maintenance logs
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and emergency response training
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch teams
- Adhere to federal/state DOT regulations and school district policies
- Assist students with mobility needs including wheelchairs and special equipment
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with P/S endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Minimum 2 years driving experience or willingness to complete CDL training
- Background clearance through fingerprinting and child safety checks
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts if applicable
- Fluent English communication skills (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
