Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and waste to designated sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections ensuring vehicle compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all transport activities
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate efficient loading/unloading schedules
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and traffic regulations in high-density urban environments
- Assist in minor equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of San Jose metro area routes and construction zones
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
