Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict accordance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security and proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes and delivery details.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic and transportation laws at all times.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of interstate trucking regulations, safety protocols, and hours-of-service rules.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call for dispatch needs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic documentation and communication.
