Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances (OTR) adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of driving time, miles driven, and delivery logs (ELD/Logs).
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring goods arrive in pristine condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve any delivery issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems (ELD).
