Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated routes across Michigan and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Optimize delivery schedules to meet on-time performance targets
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Build strong relationships with dedicated route partners
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with dedicated routes preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
- Flexible schedule including occasional overnight trips
