Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently over long distances (OTR) across the United States.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while strictly adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and manage all cargo documentation, including bills of lading.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, brokers, and receivers regarding delivery schedules and status updates.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean, organized, and secure at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) rules, and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
