Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secure and protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate daily logbooks (DOT) and ensure full compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report mechanical issues.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, route changes, and delays.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness for the truck cab and trailer.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR experience driving heavy-duty trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and obtain a Medical Card.
- Current DOT drug screen and background check clearance.
- Strong navigation skills and ability to plan routes effectively.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
