Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Drive 53' dry vans and reefers in accordance with all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Adhere to Schedules: Meet delivery deadlines consistently and maintain a professional schedule.
- Perform Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after every shift to ensure roadworthiness.
- Document Compliance: Accurately complete Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and DVIRs on a daily basis.
- Customer Service: Deliver freight with care, handling cargo professionally and communicating effectively with receivers.
- Maintain Vehicle Cleanliness: Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Required: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Driving History: Clean driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the past 3 years.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Physical Ability: Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and basic proficiency with navigation technology.
