Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers on dedicated, long-haul routes with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and prevent mechanical issues.
- Secure cargo loads properly and perform safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and all required DOT paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic maintenance checks.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
